The Grundfos range of horizontal submersible mixers is designed for applications involving the mixing, i.e. the homogenisation and suspension, of low- to medium-viscosity liquids. The mixers are equipped with a gearbox and an energy-efficient propeller.

To prevent ingress of the surrounding liquid, the AMG mixers have two radial lip seals and a mechanical shaft seal made of silicon carbide/silicon carbide or tungsten carbide/tungsten carbide, depending on size. The oil-filled gearbox is monitored for the ingress of water by a leak sensor incorporated as standard in the gearbox. The sensor can trigger an alarm signal and/or switch off the motor by means of an external Grundfos relay type ALR-20/A.
The gearbox incorporates tapered roller bearings absorbing the axial force from the propeller.
Motors range from 0.9 to 18.5 kW.
A wide range of accessories made of stainless steel or galvanised steel ensures easy installation and long trouble-free operation.
