Grundfos CME 3-3 A-R-A-E-AQQE U-A-D-N

Compact, reliable, horizontal, multistage, end-suction centrifugal pump with axial suction port and radial discharge port. The shaft, impellers and chambers are made of stainless steel. The inlet and discharge parts are made of cast iron. The mechanical shaft seal is a special designed, unbalanced O-ring seal. Pipework connection is via internal Whitworth pipe threads, Rp (ISO 7/1). The pump is fitted with a 1-phase, fan-cooled, permanent-magnet, synchronous motor. The motor efficiency is classified as IE5 in accordance with IEC 60034-30-2. The motor includes a frequency converter and PI controller in the motor terminal box. This enables continuously variable control of the motor speed, which again enables adaptation of the performance to a given requirement. An operating panel on the motor terminal box enables setting of required setpoint as well as setting of pump to "Min." or "Max." operation or to "Stop". The Grundfos Eye indicator on the operating panel provides visual indication of pump status:

  • "Power on": Motor is running (rotating green indicator lights) or not running (permanently green indicator lights)
  • "Warning": Motor is still running (rotating yellow indicator lights) or has stopped (permanently yellow indicator lights)
  • "Alarm": Motor has stopped (flashing red indicator lights).
Communication with the pump is possible by means of Grundfos GO Remote (accessory). The remote control enables further settings as well as reading out of a number of parameters such as "Actual value", "Speed", "Power input" and total "Power consumption". The terminal box holds terminals for these connections:
  • one dedicated digital input
  • two analog inputs, 0(4)-20 mA, 0-5 V, 0-10 V, 0.5 - 3.5 V
  • 5 V voltage supply to potentiometer and sensor
  • one configurable digital input or open-collector output
  • Grundfos Digital Sensor input and output
  • 24 V voltage supply for sensors
  • two signal-relay outputs (potential-free contacts)
  • GENIbus connection
  • interface for Grundfos CIM fieldbus module.

Applications

  • Commercial air conditioning — Improve user comfort and reduce life-cycle costs with intelligent pumps that integrate easily into your air-based or hydronic cooling system.
  • Commercial water pressure boosting — Ensuring optimal water pressure can be a challenge. However, you can overcome that challenge by means of an efficient and reliable booster system, which communicates with the entire system, and thus reducing life-cycle costs.
  • Community water supply — Reliable, sustainable and low-risk community water systems from source to tap, including water management and revenue collection systems, for low-income remote or informal urban settlement areas in developing countries.
  • Desalination — Desalination processes require great amounts of power and chemical products, and Grundfos supplies desalination and reverse osmosis pumps that are highly efficient and corrosion resistant to cope with the stress of the operating environment.
  • District heating — District heating systems distribute heat to residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Grundfos offers a variety of efficient and reliable pumps that contribute to making district heating one of the most popular heating systems in the world.
  • Domestic water pressure boosting — Low or varying water pressure in the home? A water pressure pump solves the very common problems of low-pressure showers and trickling taps that reduce comfort in one- or two-family homes.
  • Industrial cleaning process — Wash and clean tasks can be demanding due to aggressive detergents and high temperatures. Grundfos supplies compact and reliable pumps for a range of specialist wash and clean applications.
  • Industrial heating — Solutions for industrial heating applications meet great demands every day from very high temperatures to delicate processes that require extreme precision. There is a high efficiency heat pump from Grundfos for any need.
  • Industrial water supply & transfer — For industrial water supply, Grundfos supplies intelligent pumps as part of fully-integrated and optimised solutions for pressure boosting, level control, liquid transport or filtration, ensuring an optimal infrastructure on your production site.
  • Irrigation — Our high-efficiency pumping solutions work seamlessly with modern irrigation systems for agricultural and non-agricultural applications and can operate with on- and off-grid energy sources.
  • Water distribution — Reduce water leakage and cut energy and maintenance costs with optimised pumping systems and smart pressure management. You get peace of mind from a water distribution system that delivers correct water pressure to the consumer.

category

  • Endsuction close coupled multistage
In an end-suction close-coupled multi-stage pump, the liquid runs directly into the impeller and the inlet and outlet form a 90 degree angle to each other. The pumps typically produce high pressure relative to flow, making them ideal multi-purpose pumps for both industry and water boosting in general.
