Conclusion

R esults o f pilot testing indicate that, for the w ater quality observed at Magna, EDR provides e ffective removal o f perchlorate and the removal e fficiency o f perchlorate is similar to that of c hloride. Some sorption of perchlorate to the EDR i on-exchange membranes appeared to occur a lthough this effected brine perchlorate concent rations to a much greater extent than the product w ater. [1] H.S.
