Design, synthesis and characterization of mixed matrix material for CO2 capture

The synthesis of mixed matrix materials was successfully realized with active carbon fillers and PDMS. These materials were characterized by SEM pictures and by CO2 sorption. The incorporation of active carbon could reach up to 70 wt% and we find at least 60% of sorption capacity in the studied cases. These materials open prospects in the field of the adsorption processes as well as in the membrane processes development. Indeed the use of highly mol of CO2 adsorbed / kg carbon Fig. 2.
