Conclusion
From the experiments and the mass transfer model the following inferences can be drawn: • The calculated diffusion coefficient of humic acid is in a good agreement with the literature value. • The Mulder-equation in laminar flow regime fits well the ultrafiltration measurements of humic acid containing water, both in laboratory and in pilot scale. • The newly developed model for the transient flow regime, based on laboratory and pilot scale measurements data with humic acid containing water, describes well the mass transfer coefficient.
