Conclusion
The surface of hydrophobic porous polypropylene membranes could be modified in such a way that it is possible to deposit catalytically active palladium on the outer surface, while maintaining the hydrophobic nature of the internal pore system. The proof-of-principle for oxygen removal from water was obtained.
