Conclusion
The aim of this study was to evaluate the stability of the RC ultrafiltration membranes C 30FM and C2 in filtration at high temperatures. The results obtained until now showed that no drastic changes in the membranes and their pure water permeabilities could be observed after a few days of filtration at high temperature. Based on this knowledge, both of the membranes could be used in high temperature applications. However, more information on the membrane stability will be available after all the experiments have been performed. It has also to be taken into account that in industrial applications the membrane performance is always depending on several factors, and thus, the membrane stability in a certain process should be tested before utilisation on a larger scale.
