Development of stable organic solvent nanofiltration membranes for membrane enhanced dynamic kinetic resolution

Despite the membrane incompatibility, results from the MEDKR reaction show that there is great potential for the MEDKR system if improved base resistant OSN membrane can be produced. Therefore new base resistant OSN membranes are currently being developed in order to produce a more robust MEDKR process capable of producing high yield, enantiomerically pure compounds over a sustained period. Furthermore, other chemical systems using different catalysts with commercially available membranes are also under investigation.
