The results obtained showed that the nanofiltration process did not demineralize completely the whey. However, the best results were obtained with the Ds-5 DL membrane. In this case, the monovalent ions rejection, except from chloride ions, was between 20 and 30%. For chlorides ions, the rejections were negligible due to the Donnan effect.
