| Greases and oils do have an influence on the filtration. When the concentrentrion is low, the influence on the filtration is slight. But when the concentration is higher, the greases and oils will attach to the pipes. This could cause a silt up from the pipes. When this happens, its harder for the water to get through the pipe and on the end, it will be impossible. To avoid this, it's necessary to place an oil separator or an grease trap. The greases and oils are removed from the fluid and the entire filtration proces, so they won't be able to disturb an other part of the purification proces. Here you can read more about greases and oils in wastewater. You can go back to the overview about waterquality. |
