Wet Electro filter

The Wet Electro Filter works on the same principle as the Dry Electro Filter except it has also been developed for water soluble aerosols which are hard to separate with a Dry Electro Filter. The disposal output is 97 - > 99% dependent on the particle size.

The advantages of wet electro filter are:

  • The wet electro filter have been developed for the removal of water soluble aerosols. High separation efficiency is gained.

  • Low energy usage nearly not acting electric turn ups

  • The system can be installed in modules

  • By the simultaneous temperature lowering a separation will take place of brief metal such as mercury

  • Find still partial dissidence of acid gases plate there

  • A very high output for sub-micron particles

  • At a high field tension (> 50 kV) are dissidence nearly independent of the stay time so that compact construction becomes possible

The disadvantages of the wet electro filter are:

  • A released waste water flow needs to be treated

  • The filter has a large weight

  • At condensation electro filter must the dew point of the gas flow to address sufficiently high to be an effective condensation be able reach. Keen becomes that cooling of some degrees is sufficient reach film thickness of 50 up to 150 µm

  • The use of cooling water is necessary

  • At aggressive industrial gas components must be carried out the filter in plastic

  • Treatment of the wash water are necessary

  • Are there less practical experience then dry the electro filter

  • Less suitable for high dust loads

  • Uncertainty concerning remaining emission

  • High investment cost

  • Little practical experience

This technique is mainly used as aerosol filter and mercury separation step at waste combustion installations.
